What You’ll Do

  • Service, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems such as fences, CCTV, and fire detection.
  • Handle maintenance and repairs on alternative power supplies including generators, UPS, and inverters.
  • Install and maintain motors, pumps, and motor control circuits as needed.
  • Compile and submit detailed inspection reports on electrical equipment as required.
  • Deliver in-service training to apprentices, tradesmen, and interns to build skill levels within the team.
  • Assist in executing various electrical projects to support departmental goals.

What You’ll Need

  • A valid Trade Test Certificate in Electrical.
  • For Grade A: No prior experience necessary.
  • For Grade B: Minimum of 18 years of relevant experience post-certification.
  • For Grade C: At least 34 years of relevant experience after obtaining the Trade Test Certificate.
  • A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) and willingness to travel for maintenance duties.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform duties, including emergency repairs when required.
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in fault-finding and repairs at a component level.
