What You’ll Do
- Process and ensure timely payment of internal and external invoices within 30 days of receipt.
- Provide administrative support for petty cash electronic funds transfer (EFT).
- Reconcile the Accounts Payable sub-module with the general ledger.
- Assist in the processing and payment of DEL claims.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Financial Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, or Financial Management at NQF Level 6, recognized by SAQA.
- No prior experience is required, but candidates must not have participated in any internship programs within the public or private sectors.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Public Service Act and Regulations, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Labour Relations Act.
- Familiarity with Generally Recognised Accounting Principles (GRAP) and relevant financial systems (e.g., PERSAL).
- Strong computer literacy, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills, time management, and the ability to write accounting reports.
- A creative approach to problem-solving and effective planning and organizing abilities.
