What You’ll Do
- Barcoding and updating the asset register for accurate identification and tracking.
- Capturing asset additions and movements in the system.
- Conducting physical asset verification and condition assessments.
- Providing administrative support for asset disposal processes.
- Maintaining records of redundant and unserviceable assets.
- Running monthly asset depreciation and preparing reconciliations.
- Filing correspondence, documents, and reports related to asset management.
- Ordering stationery and equipment for the section as needed.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 or Senior Certificate, along with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- A relevant National Diploma or Degree in Finance or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office and general computer literacy.
- Knowledge of asset administration, project management, and financial administration.
- Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practice and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer relations skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-oriented approach.
