What You’ll Do
- Provide crucial administrative support to the ward committees and community work programs.
- Monitor and facilitate the implementation and effectiveness of community initiatives.
- Coordinate involvement with local stakeholders and development partners.
- Gather, assess, and manage information relevant to ward committees and community programs.
- Assist with administrative, financial, and human resource management needs within the sub-directorate.
- Support governance and stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Manage financial, human resource, and resource administration tasks effectively.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification).
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar administrative role.
- Solid understanding of constitutional legislative frameworks and municipal processes.
- Familiarity with financial databases and municipal budgeting.
- Proficiency in project management and operational management practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with good report writing and numeracy skills.
- Computer literacy and the ability to manage information systems effectively.

Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 1-year relevant experience.Competencies: Working knowledge and understanding of the following: Constitutional legislative an inter-governmental dispensation in South Africa; MFMA; Financial databases; Municipal financial statements; Municipal budgeting processes; Legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices that Ahave a bearing on the line functions; Information systems that aid in the management of knowledge and information pertaining to the line function; Project management; Operational management practices; Policy development, and operational management, monitoring and review processes; Modern systems of governance and administration; Public service procedures, processes and systems; Regional and local political, economic and social 312 affairs impacting on the provincial government of the Western Cape; Constitutional, legal and institutional arrangements governing the South African public sector; Public finance, human resources and discourse management processes; Public Finance Management Act, National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, other financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements; Functioning of the Province and the activities of sister departments/related functional areas; Policies of the government of the day; Labour Relations legislation and regulations; Performance management in general.
