What You’ll Do

  • Administer the disposal of surplus immovable property for the state.
  • Provide administrative support in addressing property ownership issues through Land Reform initiatives.
  • Liaise with the Regional Land Claims Commission to verify claims against properties marked for disposal.
  • Prepare submissions to obtain the necessary concurrence from the Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform.
  • Present PSLDVC applications to facilitate the disposal process of state properties.
  • Manage financial processes related to the disposal of fixed assets.
  • Support the sub-directorate with various administrative tasks.
  • Assist with leasing redundant state properties and respond to inquiries regarding the purchase of state assets.
  • Conduct site verifications and prepare documentation for committee presentations and adjudications.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Property Management, Real Estate, Property Law, Financial Management, or Project Management.
  • Relevant experience in Real Estate, Property Disposal, or Immovable Asset Management.
  • Knowledge of the Public Financial Management Act, GIAMA, and Disposal Act 48 of 1961, as well as other relevant legislation.
  • Proficient computer literacy and understanding of government procurement processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of property market trends.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
