About the Role
The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is looking for a dedicated Administrative Officer in Construction Project Management at the Gqeberha Regional Office. What You’ll Do
- Collect and receive invoices from Registry Services and capture them on the Re-a-Patala system.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies related to payment certificates.
- Maintain budget updates and communicate them to Project Managers as needed.
- Liaise with consultants and contractors regarding project-related queries.
- Disseminate project status reports and handle inquiries effectively.
- Manage office correspondence, documents, and reports efficiently.
- Process documents related to claims and payments relevant to the office.
- Maintain and update the WCS and Re-a-Patala databases.
- Organise and coordinate meetings, workshops, and travel arrangements.
- Provide secretariat support during internal and external meetings.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Public/Project Administration or a related field.
- Relevant experience in Office Administration or Project Administration.
- Knowledge of the WCS system.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
