What You’ll Do

  • Assist in sourcing engaging stories for the internal newsletter and magazine.
  • Facilitate effective telephonic and written communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Draft various internal communication materials, including notices and memos.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and awareness campaigns.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as NGOs, churches, schools, and community partners.
  • Support the department in maintaining social media updates and distributing communication materials.
  • Engage in public relations and communications support, along with ad hoc administrative duties.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in communications, public relations, or a media environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to meet strict deadlines while managing a heavy workload.
  • Willingness to assist the Communications Officer outside of regular hours, including weekends and public holidays.
