What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the implementation of the Protection of Personal Information Act within the department.
  • Coordinate training sessions and awareness campaigns on privacy protection.
  • Handle investigations and complaints related to POPIA from the Information Regulator and the public.
  • Register all POPIA Designated Information Officers on the Information Regulator Portal.
  • Assist in developing policies and circulars related to data protection.
  • Conduct personal information assessments to identify compliance gaps.
  • Monitor team performance and conduct regular performance assessments.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including leave administration and compliance with the Code of Conduct.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
  • At least four years of relevant experience in administration or a related field.
  • A three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English and one other official language is required.
  • Strong communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • General computer literacy, including MS Office applications.
  • A valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
