What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative support for integrated development planning activities.
  • Assist municipalities with their integrated development planning processes.
  • Support the Director and middle managers with meeting preparations and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with public service policies and relevant legislation.
  • Collect and maintain data and statistics to support departmental initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of clerical duties and practices, including data entry and statistics collection.
  • Understanding of the legislative frameworks governing public service and local government.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and various software applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).

Competencies: Knowledge and understanding of the following: Clerical duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics; Legislative framework governing the public service; Working procedures in terms of the working environment; Legislation and policy frameworks applicable to local government, Constitution, Municipal Structures; Functioning of local government; Sub-directorate.

Skills in the following: Numeracy; Computer literacy; Job knowledge; Communication (written and verbal); Interpersonal relations; Flexibility; Teamwork; Creative thinking; Decision making; Ability to work under pressure.

DUTIES Provide administrative support to integrated development planning with regard to administrative, financial, human resource management and communication needs; Provide administrative support to IDP support actions to municipalities on integrated development planning; Provide administrative support to the Director and middle managers regarding meetings; Support middle managers 313 with the administration; Studies the relevant public service and departmental prescripts/policies and other documents and ensures that the application thereof is understood.
