ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

SAIPA is proud to announce its 2026 Scholarship Programme, designed to support students with a passion for accounting. This year, five scholarships will be awarded, including the Rashied Small Memorial Scholarship, honoring the late Professor Rashied Small’s commitment to education and inclusivity in the accounting field.

CLOSING DATES

Applications for the SAIPA Scholarship Programme must be submitted by 15 January 2026. Successful candidates will be notified by 23 January 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Selected scholars will be expected to maintain academic excellence and actively participate in SAIPA-sponsored events and initiatives, fostering a community of future leaders in the accounting profession.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must:

• Be South African citizens
• Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric within the last two years
• Intend to study full-time towards a BCom Accounting degree or equivalent
• Plan to enroll at a recognized and accredited public university in South Africa
• Have achieved a minimum average of 70% in Mathematics and English
• Demonstrate financial need, with a household income not exceeding R350,000 per year (R600,000 for students with disabilities)
