About the Opportunity

The Hollywood Foundation is committed to empowering South African students by offering the ‘Future is Bright’ Bursary Programme for 2027. This initiative is designed to provide financial assistance to students pursuing full-time studies in approved fields, enhancing their career prospects.

Closing Dates

Applications for the bursary close on 03 September 2026 at 12:00 midday. Ensure your application is submitted well before the deadline to avoid disqualification.

Key Responsibilities

Recipients of the bursary may be required to participate in vacation work with the Hollywood Foundation, with a transport stipend provided. Additionally, there may be an obligation to work for the company post-graduation, matching the duration of the bursary funding received.

Requirements/Qualifications

Eligible applicants must be South African citizens, currently in or having completed Matric, and intending to study full-time in 2027 at a DHET-registered tertiary institution. They should be pursuing studies in one of the approved fields and meet the academic requirements: Matric students need a minimum overall average of 65%, while current tertiary students require at least a 60% average. Applicants must not hold another bursary that binds them to work for another organization.

Benefits

The bursary covers full or partial funding for registration fees, tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, approved study materials, and, where applicable, accommodation and living assistance. However, it does not cover supplementary examination fees, non-prescribed study materials, or unrelated personal expenses.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates may undergo assessments, interviews, and other selection activities. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of December 2026.
