What You’ll Do
- Identify and record cases of loss and theft reported by departmental officials.
- Capture loss incidents on relevant registers and electronic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of loss control and recovery efforts.
- Assist in preliminary investigations and fact-finding related to loss cases.
- Gather supporting documents and evidence for loss cases.
- Prepare working papers and summaries for management review.
- Ensure proper filing and control of documents in line with public sector requirements.
- Support awareness initiatives on loss prevention and internal controls.
- Monitor corrective actions to prevent future losses and escalate issues to supervisors as needed.
What You’ll Need
- Matric certificate.
- National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Public Administration, Internal Auditing, Accounting, or Financial Management.
- 1-2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or finance, particularly in compliance, internal audit, loss control, or risk management.
- Knowledge of public service legislation, internal control frameworks, and risk management principles.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Proficient computer skills and a commitment to high ethical standards, confidentiality, and integrity.
