What You’ll Do

  • Administer and manage the salaries for employees within the department
  • Capture supplementary payments, allowances, and deductions on the PERSAL system
  • Update and maintain a file of faulty and rejected transactions
  • Generate and issue payroll reports, ensuring real-time reconciliation of tax
  • Clear suspense accounts and PERSAL exceptions on the BAS system
  • Authorize and respond to salary-related inquiries from staff

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of three (03) years’ National Diploma (NQF Level 06) in Accounting, Finance, Cost and Management Accounting, or Financial Management
  • At least two (02) years of experience in a financial management environment
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and the ability to use PERSAL and BAS systems
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organizing capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure
