What You’ll Do
- Assess and review internal control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Provide recommendations for business improvements based on automated and manual internal control evaluations.
- Maintain and update the Departmental Corporate Governance Implementation Plan for the trading entity.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial-related systems and procedures are implemented effectively.
- Advise on policies, norms, and standards relevant to the trading entity to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the management of both internal and external audit processes, ensuring all documentation and procedures are in order.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree in Internal Auditing or a higher qualification.
- A minimum of 1-year relevant experience in accounting or auditing.
- In-depth knowledge of the legislative framework governing the Public Service and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial functions and practices, including experience with data capture and financial statistics.
- Strong computer literacy, with familiarity in general information support systems such as Oracle and ECM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on report writing and interpersonal relations.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
