What You’ll Do

• Coordinate the support and establishment of sport and recreation structures in schools, wards, and local communities.

• Facilitate capacity development programmes in sport, fostering sustainable practices within educational institutions.
• Monitor and evaluate compliance with sport and recreation transformational policies.
• Perform administrative functions related to the implementation of sport and recreation programmes.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification).
• A thorough understanding of legislation, regulatory frameworks, and best practices related to sports and recreation.
• Knowledge of project management, operational management practices, and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with public service procedures and the political, economic, and social context affecting the Western Cape.
• Strong skills in numeracy, computer literacy, communication, stakeholder engagement, and research.
