What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and programs for persons with disabilities.
  • Facilitate funding for organizations and centers that support disability services.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant legislative prescripts and norms.
  • Support the transformation of services to better meet the needs of persons with disabilities.
  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of programs and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective service integration.
  • Produce reports and presentations to communicate policy impacts and outcomes.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in social work, registered with SACSSP.
  • In-depth knowledge of disability issues and the social development system.
  • Familiarity with the Public Financial Management Act and related legislation.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
  • Strong report-writing and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • A willingness to travel and the capacity to work under pressure.
