About the Role
The Department of Social Development is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Social Work Manager Grade 1 at the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Office. What You’ll Do
- Oversee the provision of social work services to promote social change and empower individuals.
- Develop and plan programs and interventions for effective social work service delivery.
- Manage the social work unit, ensuring efficient use of resources in line with departmental directives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Health and Correctional Services, to provide integrated services.
- Evaluate and monitor compliance with policies and standards set by the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- Stay updated on developments in social work and management to enhance service delivery.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (NQF Level 7).
- A minimum of 10 years’ recognizable experience as a social worker.
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- Proficient computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication, report writing, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent leadership and management capabilities.
