What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and guidelines related to Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
- Guide and participate in conducting complex inspections according to OHS regulations.
- Conduct technical research on current trends in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Provide support for enforcement actions, including preparing reports for legal proceedings.
- Oversee the registration of Electrical and Mechanical regulatory entities.
- Manage resources and monitor the performance of staff within the Directorate.
What You’ll Need
- A qualification at NQF level 7 in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- A valid driver’s license.
- At least five years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role in Occupational Health and Safety Services.
- Knowledge of departmental policies, OHS Act, and relevant regulations.
- Strong skills in strategic capability, people management, project management, and financial management.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
