What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement strategies, policies, and guidelines related to Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Guide and participate in conducting complex inspections according to OHS regulations.
• Conduct technical research on current trends in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Provide support for enforcement actions, including preparing reports for legal proceedings.
• Oversee the registration of Electrical and Mechanical regulatory entities.
• Manage resources and monitor the performance of staff within the Directorate.

What You’ll Need

• A qualification at NQF level 7 in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• A valid driver’s license.
• At least five years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role in Occupational Health and Safety Services.
• Knowledge of departmental policies, OHS Act, and relevant regulations.
• Strong skills in strategic capability, people management, project management, and financial management.
• Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
