What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement academic curricula for agricultural courses in line with quality standards.
  • Liaise with agricultural role players to determine training needs and industry requirements.
  • Conduct classes and present lectures, tutorials, and practical training sessions.
  • Prepare syllabus guides, lesson plans, and assessment materials.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Participate in the review and moderation of course materials and assessments.
  • Conduct research on agricultural practices and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including student records and attendance registers.
  • Serve on academic committees and contribute to policy development within the department.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (Animal Production).
  • A Post-graduate Certificate in Education.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation, regulations, and government policies related to agriculture.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to effectively use technology in teaching.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • The ability to work proactively and under pressure, demonstrating effective time management.
