What You’ll Do
- Control documentation and manage the mail register within the Chief Directorate.
- Prepare for Chief Directorate meetings, including arranging logistics and compiling necessary documents.
- Handle incoming telephone queries and ensure timely responses.
- Administer human resource functions such as maintaining the leave register and managing appointments.
- Compile and manage budget expenditure reports, assisting with the allocation of resources to activities.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and official functions, including travel arrangements for staff.
- Ensure the maintenance of an effective filing system for all unit documents.
- Provide logistical support and ensure adequate provision of stationery and supplies for the office.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate (NQF4) and a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Management, Office Administration, or a related field.
- At least three years of administrative experience in a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of departmental procedures, finance, budgeting, and procurement practices.
- Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and relevant human resources legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license.
