What You’ll Do
- Control and manage documentation within the Directorate
- Oversee the mail register, ensuring timely receipt, registration, and dissemination of documents
- Process telephone queries professionally and efficiently
- Administer human resources management functions including leave records and appointment submissions
- Arrange interviews and manage the scheduling of sessions
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system for all unit documents
- Compile budget expenditure reports and assist in budget allocations
- Arrange meetings, workshops, and official functions, including accommodation and travel
- Provide logistical support for various departmental activities
- Procure necessary stationery and computer consumables for the Chief Directorate’s office
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 certificate (NQF 4) and a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Office Administration, Public Administration, or related fields
- At least three years’ experience at a supervisory level in administration
- Knowledge of departmental financial procedures and budgeting
- Understanding of human resources legislation and frameworks governing public service
- Proficiency in Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, and relevant systems like LOGIS and PERSAL
- Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A valid driver’s license
