What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the unit.
- Manage travel, venue, and accommodation arrangements.
- Oversee the administration of office correspondence and documentation.
- Compile letters, reports, submissions, and minutes for the unit.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all relevant documents.
- Prepare financial and administrative reports, including budget projections.
- Act as secretary during meetings, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Track incoming work and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
- Process documents related to claims, payments, and invoices.
- Promote innovation and service delivery within the unit.
- Implement risk and compliance management practices.
- Manage human, physical, and financial resources effectively.
- Coach and guide staff on best practices and compliance.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Office Management, Business Management, Administration Management, or a related field at NQF Level 6.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Administrative Officer or Chief Administration Clerk.
- Experience in managing office budgets and knowledge of National Treasury Regulations.
- Familiarity with various filing systems and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Understanding of departmental legislations and prescripts.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, planning, financial administration, and communication.
