What You’ll Do
- Manage the government fleet in accordance with established policies.
- Analyze and ensure timely submission of monthly Vehicle Management System reports.
- Compile and provide reports on accidents, renewals of disks, and service maintenance.
- Implement asset management procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections to verify adherence to transport policies and procedures.
- Develop control measures to prevent irregular, fruitless, and wasteful expenditure.
- Oversee the management of personnel within the fleet management team.
What You’ll Need
- A three-year Degree or National Diploma in Transport Economics, Logistics Management, or Public Administration.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Government Fleet Management within the Public Service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer skills and a valid driver’s license; advanced driving skills are advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate supervisory skills, problem-solving capabilities, and client-oriented focus.
