What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and develop the hospital’s garden, including planting and caring for trees, flowers, and shrubs.
  • Clean and maintain the surroundings, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment.
  • Prepare soil for planting and manage the removal of weeds.
  • Water gardens, maintain parking areas, and clear pathways.
  • Assist in moving furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Take care of gardening machinery and tools, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Collect and remove waste and other assets from various areas.
  • Adhere to safety regulations while performing all duties.
  • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor.

What You’ll Need

  • ABET level 4 or NQF level 1 to 3.
  • Physically strong and healthy, capable of handling the demands of the role.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Preferable experience in gardening or a formal cleaning environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to rotate to different areas as required.
