What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality nursing care to mental health patients and those living with HIV/AIDS.
- Utilise resources effectively to ensure optimal patient care.
- Engage in continuous professional growth and maintain ethical standards.
- Offer support to nursing services and participate actively in training programs.
- Contribute to research efforts aimed at improving healthcare practices.
What You’ll Need
- A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or an equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- For Grade 2: At least 10 years of recognisable nursing experience post-registration.
- For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of recognisable nursing experience post-registration.
- Knowledge of Provincial HIV/AIDS/STI/TB programmes and the associated strategic plans.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Care Act and Nursing Act.
