What You’ll Do
- Wheel patients to and from wards, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Transport patients to various service areas, including operating theatres.
- Deliver equipment, documentation, and specimens to appropriate departments.
- Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with care and respect.
- Maintain cleanliness of stretchers and wheelchairs after each use.
- Report faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor immediately.
- Assist in rendering mortuary services and maintain accurate records of received and released corpses.
- Safeguard equipment and ensure it is kept clean and functional.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to work shifts and handle pressure effectively.
- A sound knowledge of customer care principles.
