What You’ll Do
- Deliver medical specimens to laboratories promptly and safely.
- Ensure a clean and hygienic work environment for patients and staff.
- Check and replace gas cylinders in wards and treatment areas.
- Assist in the safe transportation of patients using trolleys and wheelchairs.
- Accompany walking patients and help with their movement between wards and treatment areas.
- Take responsibility for the transportation of corpses and maintain mortuary registers.
- Ensure the cleanliness of trolleys and wheelchairs and report any defects.
- Respond to transportation requests from wards and clinics efficiently.
What You’ll Need
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Relevant experience as a Porter in a public health facility.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and Public Holidays.
- Ability to handle corpses and perform related duties with sensitivity.
- Physical fitness to lift patients and heavy equipment safely.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe infection prevention methods.
- Capability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
