What You’ll Do
- Oversee the effective control and management of pharmaceutical stock.
- Ensure comprehensive pharmaceutical care through accurate dispensing services, including the Chronic Dispensing Unit.
- Assist in the collection of pharmacy data and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
- Promote and facilitate optimal Pharmaceutical Advisory Services in collaboration with relevant multi-disciplinary teams.
- Support the supervisor and perform relief duties as required in clinics within the Sub-district.
- Uphold and ensure quality standards in health service delivery.
What You’ll Need
- Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification allowing registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) or Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) Institutional.
- Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
- For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration. For Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience; for Grade 3: Minimum of 13 years’ experience required.
- Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license and willingness to perform regular after-hour duties.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Knowledge of National and Provincial Health Policies, the Medicines Act, the Pharmacy Act, and Public Finance Management Act.
