What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the principal’s office, facilitating efficient day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate and arrange meetings for various college committees and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop agendas and take minutes during meetings, maintaining accurate records for reference.
- Manage resources, including human, financial, and logistical aspects, to support the smooth functioning of the office.
- Support the planning and execution of college events, including the management of décor, food service, and media protocols.
- Maintain stock of stationery and standard forms, ensuring the office runs efficiently.
- Oversee the completion of performance agreements and supervise staff in the office.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12/Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Recognized National Diploma (NQF6) in Office Management and Technology, Public Management, Law, Social Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in an administrative environment.
- Practical experience in Office Management and Technology or Public Management.
- Knowledge of Public Service legislation and policies, as well as the Higher Education sector.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Experience in developing policies or implementation strategies will be an advantage.

Requirements
Grade 12/ Matric or Equivalent.Recognized National Diploma (NQF6) in Office Management and Technology/Public Management, Law, Social Science or related qualifications.
Experience in development of policies/implementations strategies.
Practical experience in Office Management and Technology/ Public management.
A post graduate qualification in the relevant field/s will be an advantage.
3-5 years relevant experience in administration environment.
Knowledge of Public Service legislation and policies.
Knowledge of PSET.
Knowledge and understanding of the TVET/CET administration.
Understanding of Higher Education sector will be an added advantage.
Understanding Cost centre budgetary, expenditure and cash flow management, Employment Equity Act, Public Service Regulations and Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act and any other related legislation.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Job Duties
Render administration / executive support services in the office of the principal.Provides secretariat support to College Council, Council Committees, Academic Board, Senior Management and other external stakeholders.
Provides strategic management, monitoring and evaluation services.
Oversee and maintain logistics within the office of the principal.
Arrange all meetings (Sub-committee, Council, EXCO and other external stakeholders).
Arrange all Academic Board and Academic Board committees.
Arrange and support for training interventions.
Coordinate the décor, layout, food service, invitation and media protocol requirements for college hosted functions.
Maintain stock of standard forms and stationery.
Develop agendas and write minutes for the college meeting and forum Records Management.
Management of all human, financial and other resources of the unit.
Ensure completion of performance agreements by all employees in the unit.
Supervision of staff.
