What You’ll Do

  • Provide secretarial and receptionist support to the senior manager.
  • Manage telephone communications and direct calls appropriately.
  • Handle advanced typing tasks and ensure office equipment is functional.
  • Maintain the manager’s calendar and coordinate meetings and appointments.
  • Compile and prepare reports, progress updates, and management documentation.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries efficiently.
  • Organize travel arrangements and manage logistical requirements for meetings.
  • Assist in budget administration and monitoring of expenditure.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and maintain accurate records.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) along with a Secretarial Diploma or equivalent post-matric qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of clerical or administrative experience in a supportive role for senior management.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures applicable to the public service.
  • Strong language and communication skills with an ability to engage with diverse individuals.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and good organizational skills.
  • High level of reliability and ability to act with tact and discretion.
