What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate the provision of a comprehensive package of services at the primary healthcare level.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of the Clinic Operational Plan and submit progress reports.
  • Participate in clinical audits and ensure adherence to quality improvement plans.
  • Implement nursing standards and practices in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with nursing staff and stakeholders to promote teamwork.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to nursing and housekeeping staff to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Ensure continuity of patient care through effective communication and handover processes.
  • Manage human resources, materials, and physical resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Render health services to the community through Community Oriented Primary Care initiatives.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly statistics and reports for performance evaluation.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of 9 years of appropriate and recognisable nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC.
  • At least 5 years of the above experience must be post-qualification with a basic R425 qualification (Degree/Diploma in Nursing).
  • Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and in Primary Health Care.
  • Post-basic qualification in Curative Skills in Primary Health Care accredited with SANC.
  • Knowledge of nursing care processes, nursing acts, Batho Pele principles, and public service legislation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills within the public sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on teamwork and cross-cultural awareness.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs and report writing.
