What You’ll Do

• Deliver and manage integrated Occupational Therapy services for a designated area.
• Coordinate with Rehab Care Workers, students, and volunteers to enhance service delivery.
• Screen, assess, and provide interventions for clients as needed.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective care pathways.
• Assist with outreach efforts and provide support at other Primary Health Care facilities in the Sub-Structure.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
• Registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist.
• Relevant experience based on the grade level applied for:
• Grade 1: No experience post-registration for RSA employees; one-year relevant experience for foreign qualified employees.
• Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience for RSA employees; 11 years for foreign qualified employees.
• Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years relevant experience for RSA employees; 21 years for foreign qualified employees.
• A valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
• Willingness to participate in outreach programs and assist at other facilities.
• Skills in assessing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy interventions.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and healthcare strategies, including Health Care 2030.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and MS Outlook.
