About the Opportunity
Join the Mogale City Local Municipality in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) for a transformative experience through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). This initiative is designed to provide short-term work opportunities, practical experience, and exposure to the dynamic fields of environmental and municipal services.

Key Responsibilities
– Education & Awareness: Develop and implement environmental education programs, create educational materials, and promote sustainable practices.
– Climate Change: Implement climate change initiatives.
– Environmental Compliance Promotion: Conduct field investigations and promote sustainable practices.
– Landscaping: Develop landscaping plans and urban greening strategies.
– Nature Conservation: Data collection, analysis, and biodiversity trend assessment.
– Urban Green / Horticulture: Participate in tree planting and community gardening projects.
– By-law Enforcement: Profile illegal dumping hotspots and conduct inspections.
– Environmental Health: Analyze illegal dumping hotspots and develop waste management databases.
– Administration: Provide office and records management support.

Requirements/Qualifications
Candidates must hold an M+3 qualification (Matric plus three years of study) in fields such as Environment, Biodiversity, Conservation, Forestry, Air Quality, Landscaping & Horticulture, By-law Enforcement, or Environmental Health.
