About the Opportunity
This programme is part of the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), designed to provide short-term work opportunities, practical experience, and exposure to young graduates. With 55 positions available, participants will engage in a five-month stint, receiving a daily stipend of R271.04.

Key Responsibilities
– Education & Awareness (3 Posts): Develop and implement environmental education programmes, create educational materials, and promote sustainable practices.
– Climate Change (3 Posts): Implement climate change programmes and initiatives.
– Environmental Compliance Promotion (3 Posts): Conduct field investigations and promote sustainable practices.
– Landscaping (3 Posts): Develop landscaping plans and assist in designing public spaces.
– Nature Conservation (1 Post): Assess biodiversity trends and control workplace hazards.
– Urban Green / Horticulture (4 Posts): Participate in tree planting and community gardening projects.
– By-law Enforcement (9 Posts): Conduct inspections, support recycling initiatives, and prepare enforcement notices.
– Environmental Health (3 Posts): Analyse illegal dumping hotspots and develop waste management databases.
– Administration (2 Posts): Provide office management and clerical support.

Requirements/Qualifications
Applicants must hold an M+3 qualification in fields such as Environment, Biodiversity, Conservation, Forestry, Air Quality, Landscaping & Horticulture, By-law Enforcement, or Environmental Health.
