What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive clinical services in paediatric allergology and general paediatrics.
- Lead and oversee daily clinical operations of multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct ward rounds and multidisciplinary clinical meetings.
- Manage and utilize allocated resources efficiently.
- Ensure effective administration of clinical services.
- Support the educational development of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Perform clinical audits and engage in research to stay updated with clinical advancements.
- Collaborate with referring institutions and provide necessary outreach support.
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Subspecialist in Paediatric Allergology.
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Sub-Specialist in Paediatric Allergology.
- For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration; for Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years’ experience; for Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Medical Subspecialist.
- Willingness to travel within the District and Metro Region.
- Proven leadership and supervision skills.
- Ability to manage child and adolescent paediatric cases comprehensively.
- Knowledge of public health policies and service planning principles.
- Research experience as a primary investigator is an advantage.
- Proficient in computer literacy.
