What You’ll Do

• Render laundry services while adhering to health and safety standards.
• Collect linen from designated depots and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and disinfect linen according to established guidelines.
• Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep it in good condition.
• Operate various laundry machines including washers, dryers, and irons.
• Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items, sealing linen bags as required.
• Deliver and collect linen from clients, ensuring timely service.
• Report any machinery defects to the supervisor and maintain equipment.
• Monitor equipment temperature and ensure proper maintenance of laundry machines.
• Assist with all laundry responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including night shifts.
• Physical strength to meet the demands of the position.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Honesty and reliability are essential traits for this role.
