What You’ll Do
- Render laundry services while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collect linen from designated depots and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and disinfect linen according to established guidelines.
- Inspect, mend, and mark laundry to keep it in good condition.
- Operate various laundry machines including washers, dryers, and irons.
- Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items, sealing linen bags as required.
- Deliver and collect linen from clients, ensuring timely service.
- Report any machinery defects to the supervisor and maintain equipment.
- Monitor equipment temperature and ensure proper maintenance of laundry machines.
- Assist with all laundry responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of laundry operations and equipment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including night shifts.
- Physical strength to meet the demands of the position.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Honesty and reliability are essential traits for this role.
