What You’ll Do

• Render efficient laundry services adhering to health and safety standards
• Collect and accurately record linen from designated depots
• Prepare and disinfect linen for washing following established procedures
• Operate various laundry machines including washers, dryers, and irons
• Inspect, mend, and maintain linen to keep it in good condition
• Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items as required
• Deliver and collect linen from clients within the hospital
• Report any equipment malfunctions or defects to the supervisor
• Maintain laundry equipment by monitoring temperatures and performing basic upkeep
• Assist with any other laundry-related responsibilities as directed by your supervisor

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent)
• Good understanding of laundry operations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work shifts, including night shifts
• Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the role
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Honesty and reliability in all tasks performed
