What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Judiciary, including diary management and appointment scheduling.
- Type, file, and manage judgments, ensuring they are delivered and signed appropriately.
- Prepare court rolls for various court matters and distribute them to stakeholders.
- Handle incoming and outgoing documents while maintaining a register for accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with the organization of travel and accommodation arrangements for the Judge.
- Ensure all exhibits are handled professionally in the Criminal Court.
- Administer the correct Oath ID or declaration in court when required.
- Maintain and update the Judge’s library and logbook.
What You’ll Need
- LLB Degree or a minimum of 20 modules completed towards an LLB, BA or BCom Law degree.
- At least one year of secretarial experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Dictaphone typing.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous).
