About the Opportunity
Join the Corporate Services Department at Inxuba Yethemba Municipality, a Category B Municipality in the Chris Hani District, Eastern Cape. This two-year internship offers a monthly stipend of R5,000 and is designed to provide practical workplace exposure in Cradock and Middelburg. Key Responsibilities
As an IT intern, you will engage in a variety of ICT support and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include providing end-user support, assisting with network and computer troubleshooting, resolving application-related issues, installing software and hardware, and maintaining peripheral devices. You will also be involved in setting up LAN cabling and attending to logged calls remotely.
Requirements/Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Grade 12 certificate and a Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Application Development, Software Development, Business Systems, or Computer Networks, or another relevant qualification at NQF Level 6 or 7. Additional certifications such as A+, N+, and CCNA are advantageous. No prior work experience is required, but a proof of address from a Ward Councillor is beneficial. Preference is given to residents of the Inxuba Yethemba Municipal Area.
