What You’ll Do

  • Manage clinical maintenance and repairs of medical equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and evaluations of electronic, respiratory, and anaesthetic devices.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma in Electrical Engineering – Light current (T or N or S – Stream) or registration as an Engineering Technician.
  • Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of clinical equipment.
  • A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.
  • Ability to perform standby duties and willingness to work after hours.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical insight.
  • Competence in reading circuit diagrams and managing maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate National Diploma in Electrical Engineering – Light current (T-or N- or S – Stream) or registration as Engineering Technician in terms of the Engineering Professions of South Africa Act, (Act 46 of 2000).

Experience: Appropriate experience with repair and maintenance of clinical equipment or proven experience in medical equipment maintenance.

Inherent requirements of the job: A valid (Code B/EB) drivers’ licence.

Perform standby duties and willing to work afterhours.

Competencies (knowledge/skills): The ability to perform, manage and supervise the repair of Health Technology equipment.

Ability to read circuit diagrams, fault-finding abilities on electronic medical equipment.

Ability to compile technical specifications for Health Technology equipment.

Ability to manage, plan and organise maintenance schedules.

Possess accurate technical ability and insight to solve problems.

Job Duties

Salary

R338 106 per annum
