What You’ll Do
- Maintain hardware and software infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of Unix/Linux and Windows server environments.
- Administer Active Directory and manage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID for user access and security.
- Troubleshoot and monitor server environments to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with ICT governance and risk management protocols.
- Research and test new hardware and software technologies, making recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute to special projects focused on software and hardware upgrades.
- Implement Zero Trust Security measures and explore advancements in AI, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science (NQF Level 6).
- A minimum of three years relevant IT experience, with at least one year in a Unix/Linux server environment.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows server administration, including Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID administration, and Hyper-V virtualisation.
- Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting, server monitoring, and performance management.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Good collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
