What You’ll Do
- Provide thorough housekeeping and cleaning services in designated areas of the hospital
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in restrooms, bathrooms, and other critical areas
- Dispose of garbage properly and maintain tidiness throughout the facility
- Clean kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good condition
- Monitor and control stock levels of cleaning materials and utensils
- Safeguard cleaning equipment and ensure it remains in efficient working order
- Report any equipment that requires repair or replacement
- Implement basic security measures to protect the facility
- Perform simple maintenance tasks as needed and in compliance with safety regulations
- Assess hygiene conditions in the building and identify potential issues
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Honesty and reliability as core personal attributes
- Physical strength to manage the demands of the role
- A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
