What You’ll Do
- Maintain high levels of hygiene in and around SAPS premises, including routine cleaning tasks.
- Perform garden maintenance and landscaping to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the academy grounds.
- Remove refuse bags and ensure waste is disposed of properly.
- Load and unload goods as required for various operations.
- Wash and clean equipment, including state vehicles.
- Operate basic machinery and tools related to gardening tasks.
- Collaborate with other officials in a professional manner to maintain a cohesive work environment.
- Be willing to work extended hours when necessary to meet operational needs.
What You’ll Need
- Competency in the core functions of the Groundsman role.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- Citizenship of the Republic of South Africa, with proof required during the interview.
- ABET Level 4/Grade 9/Standard 7 certificate or equivalent qualifications.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Understanding of how to handle cleaning detergents and awareness of Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
- Ability to read, write, and interact professionally with colleagues.
- Willingness to operate elementary machines and equipment such as lawn mowers and tractors.
