What You’ll Do
- Conduct general maintenance and repairs of bulk water infrastructure.
- Perform basic repairs on damaged equipment and manage referrals to service providers as needed.
- Carry out routine inspections and upkeep of grounds and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supervise the cleaning of buildings and structures, including tunnels, to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Oversee and guide team members on maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Keep records of maintenance work and report any defects or irregularities promptly.
- Maintain water measurement structures and their surroundings to ensure cleanliness and operational integrity.
What You’ll Need
- An ABET Certificate.
- Zero to one year of experience in civil maintenance.
- A valid driver’s license is an advantage.
- Knowledge of legal compliance and technical analysis.
- Proficiency in computer applications and technical report writing.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel throughout South Africa as required.
