What You’ll Do

• Conduct general maintenance and repairs of bulk water infrastructure.
• Perform basic repairs on damaged equipment and manage referrals to service providers as needed.
• Carry out routine inspections and upkeep of grounds and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Supervise the cleaning of buildings and structures, including tunnels, to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Oversee and guide team members on maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Keep records of maintenance work and report any defects or irregularities promptly.
• Maintain water measurement structures and their surroundings to ensure cleanliness and operational integrity.

What You’ll Need

• An ABET Certificate.
• Zero to one year of experience in civil maintenance.
• A valid driver’s license is an advantage.
• Knowledge of legal compliance and technical analysis.
• Proficiency in computer applications and technical report writing.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel throughout South Africa as required.
