What You’ll Do
- Render financial accounting transactions and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Receive, check, and process invoices for approvals while maintaining internal controls.
- Perform bookkeeping support services, capturing all financial transactions and clearing suspense accounts.
- Administer salary support services, processing salary advices, deductions, and adjustments.
- Assist in budget support services, including collecting information from budget holders and comparing expenditures against approved budgets.
- Maintain organized filing systems for all financial documents, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Process electronic banking transactions and compile necessary financial journals.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate or NQF level 4 qualification.
- No prior experience is required, but one year of experience in a public service internship will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of financial functions and practices, including financial legislation and Treasury regulations.
- Proficiency in basic financial operating systems such as PERSAL, BAS, and LOGIS.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality while working under pressure.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
