What You’ll Do

  • Process payments for service providers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide support to the Financial Accounting unit.
  • Manage and maintain the payment register.
  • Review claims and invoices for correctness before submission for approval.
  • Capture travel and cell phone claims using PERSAL and BAS systems.
  • Administer petty cash for the office effectively.
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll to Head Office monthly.
  • Track creditor payments using the designated tracking system.
  • Distribute finance-related policies and circulars to relevant officials.
  • Adhere to established financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding financial matters.
  • Verify availability of funds and recommend approval of expenditures.
  • Assist in compiling the regional budget.
  • Print and circulate expenditure reports to various managers.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic numeracy skills and knowledge of financial accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with processing creditor payments and employee allowances (cell phone and S&T).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Public Finance, PERSAL, BAS, and LOGIS systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
