What You’ll Do

  • Maintain systematic and accurate filing systems for all financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.
  • Work closely with finance team members, the registrar’s office, and procurement departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Process financial transactions in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits related to accounts receivable and payable.
  • Capture financial data accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall financial reporting of the college.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent.
  • A three-year National Diploma or bachelor’s degree in financial management, accounting, or a related qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a finance or accounting-related field.
  • Basic understanding of financial functions and practices, including the ability to operate computer systems and collate financial information.
  • Familiarity with Public Service financial legislations, procedures, and Treasury Regulations (PFMA, GRAP, CET ACT 16 OF 2006).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; knowledge of ITS will be an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure.

Requirements

Grade 12 /Senior Certificate or equivalent.

A three (3) year National Diploma/bachelor’s degree in financial management, Accounting, or related qualification.

At least 1 year’ experience in finance or accounting related field, Basic understanding of financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial information, Basic 57 knowledge of the Public Service financial legislations, procedures and Treasury Regulations (PFMA, GRAP, CET ACT 16 OF 2006).

Competencies, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of basic financial principles and procedures, ability to perform adequately and methodically under pressure, verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS office suite, Knowledge of ITS will be an added advantage.
