What You’ll Do

  • Assist Engineers and Technologists with field and technical office tasks
  • Promote safety in alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure adherence to technical manuals and standards
  • Compile and submit necessary reports
  • Provide input for the technical/engineering operational plan
  • Develop and maintain engineering databases
  • Manage the implementation of road infrastructure projects through various stages
  • Conduct research on engineering technologies to enhance expertise
  • Liaise with relevant bodies on engineering-related matters
  • Supervise technical personnel and manage related assets

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate and a National Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • At least three years of post-qualification technical experience in road infrastructure
  • Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician or proof of application for registration
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
  • Knowledge of road-related acts, policies, and standards
  • Strong skills in project management, technical design, and analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively in a team
