What You’ll Do

• Provide HIV counselling and peer support services to employees and their families.
• Implement programs addressing HIV, STIs, and TB.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health initiatives for stakeholders.
• Facilitate wellness management programs and provide psychosocial support in individual and group settings.
• Coordinate trauma debriefing and manage grief or crisis situations following emergencies.
• Organize information sessions, workshops, and health campaigns focused on stress management, mental health, and nutrition.
• Promote physical wellness initiatives and advocate for healthy lifestyle choices.
• Prepare and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual health reports for the district.

What You’ll Need

• An NQF level 7 qualification in Social Work or Psychology as recognized by SAQA.
• A qualification or course in Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) or HIV will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Employee Health and Wellness or a related field.
• Registration with a professional body such as the South African Council for Social Service Profession (SACSSP) or Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• A valid driver’s license, except for persons with disabilities.
• Knowledge of the Employee Health and Wellness Strategic Framework and the National Strategic Plan on HIV, STIs, and TB.
• Skills in project management, reporting, and presentations, along with functional computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
