Electrical Design Engineer (Water/Wastewater) – Contract, Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer (min. 3 years) with proven experience in the water and/or wastewater sector. The role involves supporting electrical design while working closely with process and ICA teams, requiring an understanding of treatment processes, P&IDs, and control philosophies.

This is a part-time, fully remote contract role with flexible hours

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for:
  • Water & wastewater treatment plants
  • Pumping stations and network infrastructure
• Produce:
  • Single line diagrams
  • MCC & control panel layouts
  • Cable schedules and load calculations
• Interpret and work from P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
• Contribute to and review control philosophies / functional design specifications (FDS)
• Interface with process and ICA engineers to ensure correct control strategies
• Ensure compliance with IEC / BS / IS and client-specific standards
• Review technical submissions and support FAT/SAT remotely
